My Big Oops!
Guess who poked a hole in the condenser coil of the A/C? If you guess me, you are correct! We'll see if duct tape really can fix everything! I patched it but it isn't looking good. I was trying to add a hole to the bottom of the window unit because water was running down the wall inside. Why would they place the coils so close to the bottom of the unit with no space to seperate them? If worse comes to worse, guess it's gonna be a little uncomfortable in here till fall. The other unit works fine and is in the bedroom. At least I'll be able to sleep comfortably. Thankfully, there is very little summer left to worry about. Maybe by next summer I'll be in the house and not have to be concerned with replacing it at all.

Are You Left Brain or Right Brian in Love?
You Are Left Brained in Love |
When it comes to love, you try to be as rational as possible. Your head doesn't lead you astray. You believe that love should never be blind, and you're not the type to get swept away easily. You are a cool customer when you fall for someone. You are able to look at things directly. You believe the honesty is key to a good relationship. You also try to be dependable and trustworthy. |

Gotta Love'm!
Et Tu Brute?
with some friends. Followed by martinis at Therapy. I'm excited!
Saturday, I will be attending the finial night at Liaison before they close for good.
I have been going to this bar since the mid 80's. I have many great
memories with friends that are no longer here from there.
It will be a sad night, but also the lunch of a great new venture
in Charlotte, the Art Out of the Closet, opening Gala.
I wish the staff well in their new undertaking and
look forward to seeing my artsy friends make a go
with their new enterprise!

Daddy Update
Well, my father went to the doctor this afternoon. There is actually only one spot on his lung instead of two. The doctor will keep a check on it, but currently doesn't believe it poses a health risk. In six months he will go for another scan to see if it has changed. My father is greatly relieved as are the rest of the family. My parents are celebrating by stopping at a Mexican restaurant on the way home for dinner.

Thus Far
I've had an interesting time lately. I've been getting out and doing things lately. I've caught up with old friends on Facebook. I'm having a blast and somewhat of a social life after almost 10 years! I forgot what it is like.
Last week two of my high school buddies and I got together to see the play "Altar Boys" in Charlotte. It was great fun. We met for drinks at Therapy, (great name for a martini bar), before the show and returned for follow up drinks afterwards. We got caught up with each other's lives and all the gossip we could think of and vowed to do nights out together more often.
I also went out to a bar one of those same friends works at on Saturday nights. Actually a couple of times. I meet interesting people, made new friends, even got a phone number or two.
Sunday afternoon, me and the same friend went to California Pizza for lunch. It was awesome! I've never even heard of it before, but I'm a fan now! I had the 4 cheese pasta dish. It was the best I've ever had. Followed it up with a Chocolate/Banana concoctions that was almost orgasmic! Wonderful time there. After such a sinful meal, we headed over to the cinema to see "G.I. Joe", with some other guys from his weekend bar job. It was a great movie for special effects, a few odd spots that seemed stretched thin, but great action and lots of explosions! It was a great afternoon! I look forward to more of these!

Renovations Update
Today we started replacing the windows. What a chore! It really isn't difficult. Time consuming yes. Difficult, not really. Since, neither I nor my father have every replaced sashes before this is certainly an adventure. The first and only window completed today took 3 hours. The rest shouldn't now that we have an idea of what to do. Only 19 more to go.
Now my parents have decided to remove the ceramic tile from the kitchen/den/laundry area that they paid $3,000 plus materials to install. Great, every time I think the to-do-list is getting shorter they add a major undertaking to it. If all of this gets done before Christmas, I'll be surprised.
School starts for me next week. That cuts out 2 full days a week to devote to any of those projects on top of what ever time is taken up by their doctor's appointment and stuff. At some point, it should be finished. Lord only knows when!
