When I am on my deathbed, I want a Baxter cuddling and kissing me. How beautiful! In my recent visitation gig to shut-ins, I was pleased to see how many care facilities have such dogs "on staff" and how the guests of such facilities relate positively to them. On one visit, the woman I was visiting fell as we walked to her room. Immediately the therapy dog came out of nowhere and lay down beside her on the floor until the nursing staff could check her out thoroughly (she was unhurt). I nearly cried at that sight. I would also comment that the song being sung in the background is one that is used in ads on our TV to ask for help for abused animals. I've come to the point that I cannot watch the ads without crying.
