What a Mighty Good Man

Thus far, with the exception of the Rick Warren incident, I've have been very happy with what Obama has done this far. I believe he truly has America's best interest at heart in his decisions. It really is a breathe of fresh air. The economy will take time to repair, it didn't disintegrate over night. It won't be on the upswing overnight either. I'm glad he isn't afraid to ask for expert advice on policy making. I do wish that things could happen at a quicker pace, just so I can say, "I told you so" sooner. It appears that things are headed in the right direction if we keep up the pressure to follow through, even if so far it seems unnecessary. I feel this country is on the cusp of a new age of rebirth and revitalization that has been desperately lacking for the last 2 decades.
Bless his heart, Bill Clinton tried but the Republicans were too busy with trite matters to worry about the country. This go round, I hope and pray, that will change. I'm excited about the future for once in this country. It has been a long time since I felt any pride in the government or the people. We are off to a great start. We just need to keep the momentum.

Yeah even though I know it never has been a perfect world and never will be, it's hard not feel excited about the future and proud of our country right now. A good feeling I haven't had since I don't know when. Change is here and lots of good changes to come, I think.

I think we need to put and keep pressure on the Congress to cooperate. I am not asking for a rubber stamp, but I am already angered by their silly game playing and grandstanding. Get to work, guys, and help us find a solution!
