Back At It

After today's rocky start, the first day back ended well. Everything is cleared up and ready for Monday. It seems that there is gonna be some serious homework with these three classes, more so than I've had in the past. The most exciting assignment that I'm aware of at the moment is the business plan that will be 40% of the final grade for my afternoon class. I'm already pondering ideas. I've done a couple of them before in school, but they have never counted as so much of the grade. A bit daunting, but whatever.
I spoke with one of the advisers today about their coop programs. It is only offered in the fall, so unless my unemployment is really stretched out, I'm not sure how that will play just yet. About midway through this term I should have a better grasp of what classes I may need to fill in the gaps. It's hurry up and wait, but what else can you do?

Great first step Dave. It must be a relief to be back! Look forward to following your progress.

Do everything you can to get experience Dave, even if it means volunteering or working for free for a while.

Check the local library, churches, non-profit groups etc., and see if you can do a project for them.

The diploma is just your union card. It's experience that gets you the job.
