I think I've made a decision on what to border my mediation/memory garden with. I thought long and hard about it. I considered the usual suspects but wanted something a little more ethereal feeling. Then I stumbled across this beauty. A "Fine Line Rhamnus". It has a compact habit, about 4 to 6 feet high with a similar spread, tolerates partial shade or full sun, and likes moist, humus soil. It seems perfect for the area I'm considering. Once the land has been cleared some, I may purchase a few to see how well they perform in that location before ordering enough for a perimeter. I have a laundry list of plants I'm considering for the garden and the yard. There is some truly beautiful plants available these days. I love it!
