i hope it dominoes to other states
I share a small piece of pride in the Vermont accomplishment. One of the very prominent (gay) members of the VT legislature was a friend in my youth. He was even quoted in the Yahoo news release.
As we move forward there is bound to be a backlash, but in reality we are heading for a kind of national constituional crisis in which states that have opposed this in their bigotry may be forced to recognize its legitmacy and the continuing struggle of people to have equal rights.
