A Life of Privilege

I woke up early this morning for some reason. As I laid there in bed, debating whether to get up, memories of people I have called friends welled up. It made me kinda sad this morning, that I have lost touch with so many people that I once held so dear. Those special people that suddenly enter your life, enrich it beyond measure, then fade into the past. I can only hope that they understood what an impact they had on my life. That some how, without knowing I returned the privilege of their friendships with my own. It's sad when time, money, distance or any circumstance goes against the bonds formed with others. I often wonder what became of so many people I've made that brief but intense connection with. I hope that they have enjoyed what time we shared together in friendship as much as I did. Those memories hold a special place in my heart. They give me hope for the future, shine a light on the past and yes, give me that warm, fuzzy feeling, we all seek. There are so many I'd love to reconnect with, but in all honesty, I wouldn't even know where to start. So here is a shout out to them, where ever they are, what ever they may now be doing; Thank you for the privilege of your friendships from each of you. May your lifes' be as blessed as you have made mine. And may our paths one day cross again.

Do what I have done about this. And you are right. Time, money, distance working against everything. Go to the dollar store. 2 cards for $1.00. snail mail them. it will really make someone's day; knowing someone took the time out and sent this to them. Freinds are a privilage to have, and the riches to know each other and learn from .

I like Ray's advice.
And remember, even though these friends might not be close by, they are near, because you have them in your memories and in your heart.

Many of those people in my own life are now gone. I still celebrate them in my own way and I hope that they can hear me express my thanks to them.
