This will be a short tirade. I always thought that the charge of the church was to help the poor, the homeless, the sick, not meddle in the affairs of others or the state. It seems like quite a few have forgotten that. Won't they be in for a surprise when they are turned away from those pearly gates because it was they who refused to heed the word of God? It seems Pascal was correct.
