Humble Beginnings

Long ago, a prophecy foretold the coming of a male child that would change the world. He would arrive to a young childless couple, in an unconventional way. The child would spread cheer and joy in the small, rural village. The prophecy said he would grow strong and wise as he matured. He would restore faith and hope to the countryside. His smile would brighten the darkest night. His laughter would drive away the plague of despair. He would bring honor to his family and mentors. The youngster would win over friends and foes a like. A keeper of secrets and traditions. And pay respectful hommage to animals and nature. The young man would be wise beyond his years. His knowledge and curiosity would encompass many subjects both the popular and arcane. His advice sought and heeded. The man he was to become, the child that he was, would be the epitome of grace and humbleness. Soft spoken and reserved, he would learn life's lessons the hard way and pass on the knowledge he gained. Never to be fearful, he would meet the challenges head on with courage. Slow to anger and quick to forgive, a walking example of the human potential. His mental gifts would guide him, the inner vioce a whisper he heeded. The wit and flair is displayed would endear him to the people of the sleepy village but his legend and myth would spread around the world. He was beloved and named accordingly. The prophecy foretold the coming of Ultra Dave.

I can only respond (with a giggle) that we are all "legends in our own mind".
